Our visit to Sheep 2012.. the way forward

STRIPE IS 10 MONTHS OLD AND IS BEING TRAINED WITH THE SHEEP… SHE IS VERY CLEVER

We went to Athenry last week end to ‘SHEEP 2012’ ..the way forward.  It rained all the way from Dublin to Galway and during most of the show.  That did’nt stop the crowds attending, wellies, brollies, rain jackets hats and even gloves were needed.

It was a great show with losts of highlights:  Like educational seminars, workshops, cooking demonstrations, sheep breeding advice, and sheepdog trials and training.

Brid enjoyed the cooking with Nevin Maguire (see the new Spicy Lamb Cutlets recipe) and he made an amazing dessert, will put it up next week.

Lorcan enjoyed the sheepdog training and he is going to put the many tips to use as he and Padraic are starting to train our pup STRIPE.

Padraic loved the equipment on view for flock management,  the Flock Health Seminar, and the Teagasc Research farm tour on grassland management.

We had a great day out and came home tired but positive and enthusiastic.
