May 2012 Summer Starts Here

Hello to all our readers.  Summer is here at last and the farm is looking lovely.  Due to the very mild winter the trees, and shrubs all round the farm are in bloom.  However, due to the fact that April/early May  was unusually cold, our winter clothes are only coming off now, and hopefully the sheep will be shorn and they will be in their summer attire shortly.    As you will see from the pictures they will be glad to be rid of their coats.  With the heavy coats of wool at this  time of year, sheep can roll over onto their backs and find it very difficult to get back up,  so we have daily walks round the farm to ensure they are o.k.

Our lambs are growing well and we are taking orders for our first lambs now.  We are in the process of contacting all our customers and reminding them to order on line.
